Amniocentesis

• This is a Diagnostic test that can be done between after 15 weeks of pregnancy, It is done under ultrasound control by the transabdominal route 20 ml of Amniotic fluid is collected.
• These fluid is sent to the laboratory, where it is subjected to various test such as karyotyping, FISH, array CGH, q PCR or NGS. This is a confirmatory test.
